Parish Church of Santa María de Pontellas
This is a 13th-century Romanesque church. It has a rectangular ground plan with a single nave. Inside, the space between the presbytery and the nave is defined by a pointed triumphal arch with a rectangular section, resting on two columns with large bases, slender shafts and stylised capitals with rope-moulded collaring. On the exterior, the main façade concentrates all the decorative elements, arranged along an imaginary vertical axis that includes the main doorway and a small square opening. The cornice is interrupted in the centre to serve as the base for a simple bell gable. The building is covered by a gabled roof with curved roof tiles.
