Magdalena Chapel

Magdalena Chapel

Small 18th-century chapel, heir to a former medieval hospital for lepers under the dedication of Saint Lazarus.

18th-century chapel. It has a small rectangular ground plan. The interior is very simple. The exterior concentrates its decoration on the main façade, where, along a vertical axis, a lintelled doorway, a rose window and, breaking the cornice line, a simple single-tier bell gable are superimposed. According to various documents, this chapel has existed since the late 16th century, as it belonged to a former hospital dedicated to Saint Lazarus, intended for sufferers of leprosy.
