Free Public Washhouse
Public washhouse inaugurated in 1902 by the García Naveira brothers, with two levels and capacity for more than twenty washerwomen according to the tides.
The Betanzos washhouse is another of the many philanthropic works promoted by the García Naveira brothers. It was inaugurated in 1902 and has a surface area of 348 m², divided into two levels. On the ground floor there are two rows of wash basins, used according to the tidal level, with capacity for 22 washerwomen, as well as a hearth and covered drying areas. The upper floor also contains additional covered drying spaces.
