Lanzós Magnolia Tree

Lanzós Magnolia Tree

Historic grove of magnolias planted in 1884, located between the Church of Santiago and the Pazo of Lanzós, highly appreciated for its summer shade.

In 1884, a plantation of magnolia trees was carried out between this place and Praza da Constitución, forming a beautiful grove. The specimens in the square were cut down at the end of the Civil War by order of the mayor at the time, while this magnolia, located between the Gothic Church of Santiago and the Pazo dos Lanzós, was preserved and is highly valued for the shade it provides on hot summer days.
