Picachá Fountain

Picachá Fountain

Neoclassical fountain from 1911, designed by Francisco Javier Martínez Santiso, decorated with semicols, coats of arms and marine figures.

It was built in 1911 according to a project by architect Francisco Javier Martínez Santiso. Neoclassical in style and made of granite, it features a frieze supported by four semi-columns—two on each side—with plain metopes. Above the two spouts appear the city’s coat of arms, flanked by two marine monsters acting as supporters.
